OKLAHOMA STORM SONS DO IT AGAIN
The results of the National Maine-Anjou Association Bull Test are just in.
J&J Cattle had 3 Oklahoma Storm sons on the test and Storm Sons finished as the
1st and 2nd indexing bulls on the national test. This follows on the heels of
Storm Sons being the 1st, 2nd, 3rd , 4th and 5th indexing bulls at the fall of
2008 Connors State College bull test. We knew he was good and now he is proving
he is one of the best to come along in some time.

Oklahoma Storm sons dominate all other Maine entries at the Connors State College Fall 2008 Bull Test |
| Twenty four Maine-Anjou bulls were entered in the just completed Connors State College Bull Test in Warner, OK and the top 5 performers were Oklahoma Storm sons. That's right number 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Indexing bulls were Oklahoma Storm sons. Six Storm bulls competed in the test along with 18 other registered Maine bulls that were consigned by a "who's who" field of Maine breeders. Bulls were ranked according to an index that consisted of Average Daily Gain while on test plus Weight Per Day of Age. The 5 top indexing Storm bulls had Average Daily Gains well over 5 pounds per day. The other bulls entered in the test were sired by some of the elite AI sires in the breed. This great performance along with the show ring success of Oklahoma Storm heifers, being homozygous black and solid, and Low birth weight and smooth polled are some of the reasons we are so excited about this young AI sire. We believe Storm may well be the best Maine bull to come along in some time. JJ The Thunder Rolls (an Oklahoma Storm son) was the high seller of the 98 bulls of all breeds entered in the Connors Test. The bull test sale was held December 4, 2008. |
